Flechtwerk is a free macro synthesizer offering 24 unique synthesis engines, based on Mutable Instruments Plaits and its latest 1.2 firmware. Effortlessly sculpt your sound using three intuitive macro controls (Harmonics, Timbre, and Morph) each spanning a diverse sonic palette.Shape your dynamics with the integrated low-pass gate (LPG) envelope, featuring decay and color controls for natural, percussive transients or smooth, filtered tails. The LPG can also be disabled for pure, droning textures. Envelope modulation is available for timbre, frequency, and morph parameters, opening up expressive modulation possibilities.Additional features include a transpose control for shifting the pitch by ±1 octave and two flexible output modes: regular and aux, which can be used independently or mixed for stereo experimentation.Flechtwerk merges the advanced synthesis capabilities of Plaits with a streamlined, performance-friendly interface – ready for bold, creative sound design across any genre.To learn more about the different synthesizer engines, please consult the official Plaits manual.There's also an advanced version with more features called Flechtwerk Pro.Available in CLAP, VST3 and AU format for 64bit Mac/Win/Linux systems.
